A private knowledge base for your AI conversations

Hundreds of chats hold your decisions, fixes and ideas. AI Vault imports them from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, makes them searchable, turns the important parts into connected knowledge with sources — and lets you share exactly what you choose, with personal data protected on your device.

Why people use it

Your best thinking is buried in chats

Finding the day you chose a database or fixed a deploy means scrolling for minutes. AI Vault searches every message across assistants at once.

Sharing a chat shares everything

A share link exposes the whole conversation, including names and keys. AI Vault exports only the branch, messages or sections you pick, with personal data pseudonymized.

Knowledge without sources is gossip

Notes copied out of a chat lose their context. In AI Vault every decision links back to the exact message it came from.

A · Import & explore

Every export, with its real structure

Drop ChatGPT ZIPs (including 2026 split and multi-part exports), Claude ZIPs and Google Takeout JSON for Gemini. AI Vault keeps original ids, rebuilds branches from edits and regenerations, flags what the export does not contain (missing attachments, no branch data) and re-imports without duplicates — your own titles, tags and notes are never overwritten.

  • Accent- and case-insensitive search with phrases and exclusions
  • Filters by provider, project, date and author
  • Attachment previews while the original ZIP is open

B · Knowledge graph

Typed knowledge with relations that mean something

Projects, decisions, problems, solutions, sources, notes and people are typed items. Relations have meaning — belongs to, resolves, supersedes, relies on, contradicts — and every item links to the messages that support it. Graphs are per project, with a keyboard-friendly list view.

  • Create knowledge from any message or text selection
  • Explainable local suggestions — you accept or dismiss them
  • Open the source message from any item

C · Privacy scanner

Find personal data before anyone else does

E-mails, phones, Spanish DNI/NIE, IBAN, cards, IPs, API keys, tokens and names you add to your privacy list. Each finding shows its context; decide once per value or per occurrence: pseudonymize with consistent aliases, remove irreversibly, keep, or exclude the message.

  • Checksums for DNI/NIE, IBAN and cards reduce false positives
  • Values detected once are protected everywhere in the package
  • Secrets are removed, never turned into reversible aliases

D · Safe export

See the exact file before you share it

Choose a real branch, individual messages and even sections of a message. Preview the exact Markdown, JSON or Obsidian vault that will be downloaded, with a provenance manifest and a summary of changes. The key that maps aliases back to real values is never inside the package — it is a separate, explicit download.

  • Markdown, JSON and Obsidian ZIP with consistent links
  • Declares omitted attachments and excluded content
  • You must confirm you reviewed the preview

And everything around it

E · Knowledge timeline

Proposed, confirmed, obsolete and disputed items with validity dates, who confirmed them, supersession chains and contradiction suggestions you review. Edits never destroy history.

F · Roles & proposals

Reader, contributor, editor and admin roles, restricted projects, proposals and reviews with authorship, and an audit log without content. Works locally today.

G · MCP for assistants

A local MCP server lets Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and others search your knowledge and propose memories with their own token — they can never confirm.

I · Local insights

Activity by provider and month, knowledge by type and status, branches and attachments — computed on your device, never reported anywhere.

Encrypted storage (optional)

Keep your vault on this device encrypted with AES-256-GCM and your passphrase, or keep the default: nothing stored after you close the tab.

Backups you control

Download an encrypted backup to move your vault between devices or to use it with the MCP server.

What AI Vault does not do

  • It never logs into your accounts, asks for passwords or scrapes your chats: you bring the official export.
  • It does not call any AI model. Suggestions come from transparent wording rules.
  • It does not guarantee anonymization: pseudonymization reduces risk, it does not remove it.
  • It is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.

Free, no account

AI Vault is free while it is in early access. There is no sign-up and no paywall. If optional paid services (such as hosted team sync) come later, the local features you use today stay available.

Turn your AI history into knowledge you can trust

Open the app and load the demo to see every feature with fictional data — or import your own export. Nothing leaves your browser.
